This is my latest painting. I'm not sure it's based on any one thing and honestly, the anatomy isn't perfect. I am pretty happy with it though.

Headlamps
When you force it, you know it's not likely to be the best, but here goes anyway.
I don't really have a topic today, so I guess I'll just focus on my run earlier. In a word, it was wonderful. Michigan is having some beautiful, climate-change spawned weather right now, and after I got home from both work and my friend's baby shower (I bought her an awesome, tattoo-themed onesie), I suited up and got outside. While it wasn't too late, it was dark enough that I felt the need to take my headlamp, switching it on and hitting the asphalt.
Spring is perfect here. It's not particularly warm yet, but it's getting there, a sort of reverse autumn that is just brisk enough to make for perfect running. I had the day behind me and had spent it indoors, so the freedom of letting loose and hitting the pavement was exhilarating. My muscles loosened by the time I turned the first corner. I've been working on shortening my stride and making my pace a little quicker, but there were times today that I just had to let my legs do what they would. The evening was quiet, but there were enough people out to indicate that at least some in this world still appreciate the outdoors.
I finished by petting a dog and stretching on my living room floor. Perfect.
